Gadgets for Moms

Parenthood need not be tricky for today's moms - consider these nifty gadgets the new normal:

Get a Digital Camera
Choose the best photo quality to capture the finer details and more life-like images of your baby’s soft skin, for instance. Choose easy-to-use controls and intuitive menus to give you room on your most adorable subject. Choose a camera that even grandma can figure out.

Here are 3 Digital Cameras I would recommend for parents. These are easy-to-use pocket cameras:

Samsung Galaxy Camera (EK-GC100)
Sony Cyber-shot RX100
Nikon COOLPIX AW110

Wireless Baby Monitor
With recent recalls in baby monitors, it would be safe to say that parents should avoid placing any electronic device with cords inside the crib.

You may opt for a wireless baby monitor. Most baby monitors can send 2.4 Ghz FM signal to its monitor or your TV, letting you keep an eye and ear on baby without disturbing her sleep.

Sleep Sound Machines or Sound Soothers for Baby
These are little sound devices that you can place in the nursery to create ambient white noise such as realistic digital recordings of soft rain, the ocean or a heartbeat which can help create a peaceful womblike environment for the baby. Again, keep the corded devices out of the crib. You can put this on top of a nursery table.

Hands-Free Ear Phones
Take phone calls even when your hands full with the baby. Expect good stereo sound quality while you handle call after call, you may choose any clip-on piece that's easy on the wallet like the Jabra Clipper or the Plantronics Marque series.
